What is a good price?

I am looking to purchase a 6 month old Brangus Heiffer for FFA showing. What are the going prices or what is reasonable? I understand the quality behind the animal plays an important role. On reading the birth records of the sire and dam what controls the price?

Don't know much about Brangus but in most breeds you can find a heifer between $800.00 and $80,000.00. Quality starts showing probably around $1,500.00 and some real nice ones can be had for around $2,500.00 if you look in right places.

With show heifers breeding plays a part in the price but mostly it is just how pretty she is, how sound and how much potential she has to get better as she gets older.
