What I don't understand Pt. 2

Help Support CattleToday:

Rancher6, your story sounds amazingly familiar! I remember coming in at a early morning hour when I was about 16 or 17. The rule was, if Dad was still in bed, we kids could get a little sleep. If Dad was up (and he got up at 4 or 4:30 at that time) we were SOL! Well, he was up and I spent that day building fence. We didn't have a post hole digger for the tractor back then either! I didn't make that mistake again! As far as the belt, Dad could have that darn thing unbuckled, whipped off, folded in two, and laid across my butt before I usually realized what happened. Beat anything I've ever seen! We were never beaten either, but he didn't tolerate mouth, insolence, attitude, or fighting with one's siblings. He also played a mean game of poker and our chief source of entertainment during blizzards was matchstick poker.
