what ear tags to use?

What ear tags have you all had the best luck with? I would like to be able to put our name on them. The ones we use now seem to fall out a lot.

I have had great luck with Ritchey Tags. I use them with the Y-Tex button. They take time to engrave but it stays. B&G

I use and have only ever used Y tex, I don't know if there the best, but I have never found anything about them I didn't like.

I use CalTags they have colored layers they etch numbers, brands,names what ever you want. On the front and back. They are good tags.

We use the ztags, they have worked the best for us.

We have always used the y-tex tags, but we seem to lose a lot of number tags throughout the year. I just purchased some of the Z-tags with tagger so I guess we will replace this year and see how they work. The only bad thing is there are no ear fly tags that use this tagger, so we will still have to use the y-tex for fly tags. Had problems in a few calves with infections this year from the 2 piece tags.
