I was hoping i could get some opinions about my calves, the judges have had very conflicting comments on them and i wanted to know what you all thought. Thanks

he is about 750 pounds for a late april fair (Duke)

he is about 625 pounds for the same fair (Luke)

He is about 1100 pounds for a early december fair (Bo)

I like #1 the best. He has a strong top and decent length of neck. He looks a little straight in the back leg though.

I don't care for #2, not thick enough and weak topped.

#3 is OK, he's got a lot of body, but a little short necked and slopes from hooks to pins.

I think 1 and 3 have some potential to do good, especially 1. You might want to consider just cutting your losses on 2 and send him to the sale barn. His only future is wasting feed.

I like 3 best, don't care for 2 at all, and I think that 1 is a little too posty. Hey, at least they're BLACK

#3 has by far the best stuff going for his age, but if you just took this picture, I don't see him being finished by early December. Push him really hard all the way to show day.

#2 - I wouldn't show

#1 is too heavy in his front end, and kind of narrow, but might be a whole lot better by April with the correct feeding and fitting.
