What Breed?

I saw a show on PBS real early this morning, it was about all the people that had lost their jobs working for Electrolux. A man and wife both lost their job there and they had a small farm too, I believe this was in Geeneville, SC, but not positive. Anyway, they had some oddly marked cows, they were completely black on the front half and the back half, but the mid section was completely white, it was like a big white band around their mid-section. They looked to all be uniform too. Any idea what breed that might be?

Yep, they looked like these belted galloway. http://cattle-today.com/Belted%20Galloway.htm That is pretty odd the way they are marked. These were small framed and very fat.

We had Belted Galloways where I went to college. All non Ag majors just called them Oreo cows.
