browned chicken, good link sausage, chopped seasoning vegetables, spice.. 'something' in a pot...

1st ya make a roux...
It is indeed gumbo. Had some boneless skinless chicken thighs and breasts in the freezer I need to do something with so this was the natural thing to do with them. (I always have some Holmes brand pecan smoked link sausage)

I didn't take a picture, but we had a catered barbecue lunch at work today for a co-worker's retirement. He's been here 26 years and change, and believe it or not there are a half dozen or so others still working who were here before him, and there's only about 30 people in our division.

I've got 21-1/2 years. My previous record for staying at one job was 3 years.

I have a co worker that started in 1957. He is 82 and still working. I hope I am still able to work by the time I am 82, but I hope to have been retired for 20 years by then.

I was sadden to see I bought a handicap turkey when I got it unwrapped. Poor sucker didn't have any legs or wings, oh well it smells good cooking.
