I could use the rain tho, and was up in Cass County over the weekend. Dry there too. Green, but dry.

How much per acre do you think that'll cost to gamble or seed, fertilizer and fuel?callmefence":bqch73eg said:I'm torn on trying to get one of of my oat fields in a few weeks early. Done it a couple times before. Won and lost

Tough call, I'm in the same boat on rye. Perhaps better odds at the casino? :cowboy:callmefence":24h54svb said:RanchMan90":24h54svb said:How much per acre do you think that'll cost to gamble or seed, fertilizer and fuel?callmefence":24h54svb said:I'm torn on trying to get one of of my oat fields in a few weeks early. 100 #per acre seed _ 20.00
Diesel _____________ 2.00
I've got a 12 acre new field we just opened up.
It's already chiseled and disc. I would probably wait on nitrogen with 4-5 inches possible. I've pretty much decided against it. Even if it takes planting early almost guarantees army worms. 10.00 per acre

The map I saw a little earlier showed landfall around Corpus, moving inland to the WNW some, then curving back to the SE and in the Houston area in 5 days. (I couldn't see the yellow/green dots well, so I added a black circle to each one)
