Murray Greys are moderate in size.
Calves that meet the Northwest
Murray Grey breed standards range
from 60 to 80 pounds at birth.
Mature cows ideally range from 1000
to 1200 pounds and mature bulls
around 2000 pounds. These produce
fed steers at the weights desired by
the packers and are especially
appropriate for the boxed beef market.
