week old calf down

Have a week calf approx week old. Went to feed this afternoon calf did not come up with mother. mother finished feeding followed her and found calf laying on side in hay. Calf show movement with proding eyes open would move legs slowly but would not get up.
Seemed to be breathing normal. Any ideas

How's its poop been

There's a long list of possibilities. More information is needed to eliminate most.

THe first thing a large animal vet is going to ask is "What's its temperature?"

What are his symptoms? Is his head arched back or just laying normally?
