Here in our area in Australia we have just had another 2" of beautiful rain that takes us to just over 12'' for the past month. The best start for years. Its wet in most paddocks,have to be careful driving about need to keep the vehicle in 4 wheel drive. You tend to get complacent when its been dry for a while. Most of our dams are full (still two big ones to go).
When the rivers and creeks go down there will be a few floodgates to fix.
Our yards are muddy,we are just starting our show circuit,makes preparation somewhat difficultbut what the heck.
Bit cool here today supposed to be getting back to summer conditions by the end of the week. We have about 6 weeks of growing left before Autumn starts,then its Winter.

Well its been a hot day here at our place close to 90 F. No rain forecast for a few days. Some of the tropical north of Australia has had 10-15" overnight a couple of nights ago. The best they 've had for a long time.

Hey I have a question do you ever get snow??

Have'nt had snow settle on the ground for 20 years this July(our winter)
It lasted for over a week in drifts,up against fences in gullies etc.
The snow fell from way down south to up north in southern Queensland.
You could see it along the mountain tops from down in the lower coastal area. We do occasionally have sleet,none last winter just a lot of frosts.
We have a pretty nice climate,not too hot not too freezing.

Another hot day about 90 F here but well over 100 in most or oue state up to 106f in some parts.
Need another storm after these hot days.
Might get the effects of a cyclone (hurricane) in the next week from the Coral sea, we are about 2,000 ks away at the moment.

Still stinking hot, up to 106 in parts of our state yeasterday supposed to be the same today. We had about 95. There's a lot of monsoonal activity up north including an off and on again cyclone,its remnants might head south over the next week or so. We could do with another inch or so now.

Its been stinking hot here for close on two weeks. Most parts of our country have been sweltering with temps over 100 some even up to 110F
There are bushfire warnings out for southern Australia today. 104F + there today. We need a drop more rain at our place,still OK but would like to build on what we have had over the past month.

The answer is "yes". It snows there every year, but only at the very summits of the 3 tallest volcanoes (Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea and Haleakala). The snow level almost never gets below 9000 feet in Hawaii during the winter, but since these mountains are taller than 13,000 feet, 13,000 feet, and 10,000 feet, respectively, they get dusted with snow a few times a year. It rarely stays on the ground for more than a few days though.
Although the rest of the island chain enjoys warm tropical weather the entire year-round, there have been "freak" cold storms a few times this century that have brought local snow storms down to as low as 3000 to 4000 feet. This snow has melted very quickly, however.

Another stinking hot day here in Australia.
Over 34C again thats over two weeks straight now.
Some western areas of our state have had temps over 44C for two + weeks
A storm went about 80ks east of us toward the coast, a breeze from that has helped tonight.
