Bottle fed or nursing? Bottle fed, when tey are eating around 2 lbs a day of quality calf starter grain, 4 to 8 weeks. Nursing, you can actually wean by the same criteria as a bottle calf if you are in one of the drought areas, but the calves have to be well into a creep ration at the time.
