I am bottle feeding a two month old calf who will not put on weight and cannot stand up on his own. I feed him 5 times a day 1 1/2 pint water 1/4 cup milk replacer.I am slowly building him up to 2 pints water 1/2 cup milk so he doesn't scour. He grazes on grass all day. Once he is standing he usually stays up and walks around grazing for a couple of hours until he trips or gets tired. I check on him every 1 1/2 hours to make sure he is o.k. He has been given vitamin shots. He wants to eat and doesn't have diareah. His cud is foul smelling.His total body conditioning score would be a 1. He is my 5th bottle fed calf and I have never had any problems with the others.
