Water and boggy places

Just got back from a great trail ride on my gelding, with one exception. He has a fetish about getting his feet wet. Neighbor kid was with me on my pony mare, and I had him go first. Jack followed her...well almost. Went over two saplings in an effort to evade the water. Any suggestions? This is the same horse that I tried out last fall who had no problems with river crossings. Maybe it's just the mud?

Knew of a guy,his horse wouldn't go into some muddy water,so he beat it so bad it jumped in the middle of the mud,and got stuck in quicksand..They did manage to get the horse out.. Over 40 years ago,and I still don't have much ust for that man..

No telling what happened to the horse you have,could have slipped-- Make a puddle he has to go theo to get to the feed,see if he has a problem with that.

I have a new horse that doesnt like to go into water. We are working on it though and I think he will come around.
