I was in the barn this morning and the dogs followed me in as usual. The English Mastiff wasn't paying good enough attention when Freckles, our tiger stripe mama cow came in and the dog looked up and tried to get out of the way. It was too late, that cow was bellering and she rolled that dog all over the place. I hollered at the cow and she turned loose of the dog. Dog wasn't hurt but seemed totally embarrassed. Bet she pays better attention next time.

Seen some good cow dogs get plowed like that. Smart ones get against the fence and move very little - just enough to avoid the stomping. You'd think those dogs were near dead when it is all over and they come out unscathed. Amazing.

i got a beefmaster cow like that.she wont let the cow dog in the pasture at all.an she will hitt gates to keep the dog out.glad the dog is ok.next time itll be watching for that cow.
