warts around eyes

Hello,

I've got a few black angus cows that have some kind of wart around there eyes. Anyone know what these are. Can they be prevented somehow? should they be removed? I will try and post some pictures of them tonight.

I have heard if you rub toothpaste on them, they will go away in about a month. Doing nothing, they disappear in about four weeks. I wouldn't worry about them.
