My neighbor has 3 Wagyu- Limo. cross calves that I am thinking about buying. Has anyone ever tried a steak from such a cross? It seems to me that they would make a pretty good beef. Any pros and cons on this cross? Thanks Joe

Interesting concept. The heaviest marbling breed with the least marbling breed. A good heavy muscled breed and the weakest (other then dairy) muscled breed.

Would that be the ultimate "fire and ice" mating?
no, Wagyu x Tuli is more extreme I would say and that is currently being done.

Wagyu x Longhorn cows covered by Belgian Blue.

Speaking of meat quality, I think the beef will be enough marbled and very tender.
As feeders they will probably not grow that fast; but I assume they will dress out fine, with two fine bone breeds where one provides lots of muscle. Go ahead and buy them!

One of two things either cash or crap. you'll have to wait and see. I don't think I'd give much for'em without knowing how they would do with my bull.
