I just want to thank each and every one of you out there that served in our Military, and fought for our Freedom. No matter what conflict you served in, or if it was Peace Time. We appreciate you. Those that gave their lives shall never be Forgotten!

I, too, thank everyone in the military.

It's a shame that most only give thanks on this one day. They deserve our thanks every day of the year.

Farmhand, I couldn't agree more.

To everyone who has fought for our country, and our freedom - allied troops included - my heartfelt thanks and everlasting gratitude.

I second the motion. Been thinking about Grandpa all day. Started as a mechanic, ended up as a side gunner for a B-17 bomber group before wars end. Just one of many that brought Hitler and Mussolini to their knees. When he was alive I could squeeze a story out of him sometimes. He told me how the Germans would wait in packs like mosquitos just out of range of the fighter escort they had and annihilate the bomber group. Then one glorious day they were escorted by the new P-51 Mustang (my favorite airplane) and Jerry was taken by surprise because of the extended range, high speed and agility of this new fighter. The entire German fighter squadron was shot down with the loss of only a few Allied craft. He'd shed a tear. Only time I ever saw gramps with wet eyes. Then he'd change the subject as usual and talk about cows again and spit his Copenhagen. I reckon they broke the mold when they made him. We owe them fellers!!

Thank you. I will say I have seen more flags out this year than others. God bless all of our soldiers still on the battle ground.

Scotty

Amen to that, Scotty. May He see fit to bring them home safe and sound, regardless of where home is.
