Hello everyone.
I looked up the belt size for a Vermeer 504I and it said they should be 424inches. I was surprised to learn that my 504I was running belts from 410-414inches in length and even those were loose. Why would those undersized belts be so loose? We only do 4 - 4.5foot bales, so I guess the smaller belts don`t matter, is that correct? The tension springs on this baler are under no pressure at all until it starts loading. I am wondering if that was done to compensate for these shorter belts and if I should tighten them.
I am thinking about putting on a new set, but am no long sure my machine can take 424inches as I have seen advertised.
