anyone know anything about theis bull, or where to get info? I am going to look at some 878 heifers with Venture calves at side this wk. end. Need to know if it's worth the $2000 a pair.

You must have more of an extended name other than "Venture". There are hundreds of bulls with the name Venture as part of the name. Get me the Registration number and I'll get you all sorts of information. ;-)

Sorry I didnt give enough info....the guy said it was a Venture bull from ABS, been dead about 4 years. So how do you search for a deceased bull?

Contact ABS and explain with as much information as you have. They should be able to assist you.

The Wann family here in OK used him extensively. In fact, I thought they had an interest in him, but it doesn't show up on the AAA site. They just had their production sale a few weeks ago. I'll find a phone number/email address and pm it to you later today. Roger Wann is a regional manager for ABS. I know they were very satisfied with the bull and used him a lot. They may be able to put you in touch with other people who used him, or give you performance information on his calves.

As to what his daughters are worth, they may be able to help you out there, too. But he's only half the pedigree and what are similar cattle selling for in your area? What do you plan to do with them?
