> I don't know of a site, but when i 1st got my mini holstein, I asked my vet. we contacted our local agriculture cooperative services. They said there was basically nothing in our area (Northern AZ) and that cows were pretty good at not eating things that would be poisonous to them (natural lack of appeal). I am a novice, so keep looking into professional advice, but hope this gives you a start.

Here is one on prussic acid which occurs in Johnson grass after it is frosted.

cherry trees are toxic SOMETIMES.,. when a limb falls and the leaves wilt occasionally prussic acid is formed, also bracken fern is a blood thinner and can cause abortions as can excessive amount of oak leaves, however as lnog as there is something else for the cows to eat they won't eat enough to really hurt themselves. P>S> do a google search

This past October I had a cow get what I thought was IBR. After calling my Vet he suggested it could be acorn toxicity cause both had the "red nose" symptoms but either way I should treat w/ LA200. She seems to be recovered and I guess I will never know which it was unless there is a recurrance. We also have a lot of wild cherry trees in this area (SW PA)and I was wondering what the symptoms of "cherry toxicity" might be?
