using opened medication

We bought some heifers a few days ago and immediately vaccinated for blackleg and lepto (used Alpha 7 and Cattlemaster 4 + VL5). We are getting a couple more heifers in a couple of weeks. Can the opened meds be used to vaccinate these calves? Meds have been kept in refrigerator or in ice chest.

A killed vac would be ok. As a Modified Live vac it isn't adviseable. Once you get it going it needs to be used.

read the label, it usually says use within "X" hours. It is always on the insert if not on the bottle or box.

Both of these need to be used when first opened.
