update on calf

She's been up all morning still favoriting the right front..We devised a sling for her the last couple days.and i've been oing in massaging her limbs and all.seems to have helped..She was trying to nurse off the mom this morning.the foreman siad didnt look like she got anything..One thing I noticed is diarrhea..(scours?) in four places in the stall..The leg is still looking sore but the swelling has gone down alot...and she's up!! Now shes been on antibiotic for the last 5 days...could that have caused the diarrhea?and what do I do for it? I've read up on electrolytes and things..rememebr I'm real new to all this...so if questions sound silly...thats why.... Thanks for all the advise....

It's possible as antibiotics aren't particular about which bugs they kill off. You might want to talk to your vet about dosing her with Probios to replace the good bugs in her system. That may go a long ways towards getting her back on track.
