Death rates in the US has not increased any more than it has from ALL causes.
According to the United Nations, this is the death rate per 1000 people:
2013 - 8.159
2014 - 8.264
2016 - 8.475
2018 - 8.685
2019 - 8.782
2020 - 8.880
Yes, there were more total deaths in the US in 2020 over 2019, but no more than the increase each year leading up to the infamous Covid 2020. Each year since 2013 there was an increase of about 0.10. (there was less than the average for 2019 to 2020) Research it yourself:
This is not for an argument - just posting some facts.

I just wonder why the United Nations is counting the dead people in the US.
Wonder what the dead people think about those numbers. :)
If there is an online sign up list, I am sure many people will sign up without thinking.

I wonder how the accidental death rate was affected by the lockdowns? Car wrecks, work related, heart attacks, OD, falls, people doing stupid things. I have no idea wether it would be more or less but be interesting to know, just to be able to see the bigger picture.

Drug overdoses were up exponentially last year. I've heard 100,000.

The UN wants to be in charge of the world. So they act like they are in charge. But they left out death number via abortion. They are above the stage with the puppet controls and the strings go down to the one world government politicians in the public eye. They are foolish enough to believe that if they can get a one world government they will be in charge. They forget 1-the US largely funds them so they would have to find a way and a massive system to tax world-wide and 2-as soon as they destroy national borders a communistic or socialist leader will wipe them out and take over. There is a true stupidity to live in a false narrative and to think that it is real.

I have been waiting on that number.

I'd like to see it out of the CDC, and also deaths sorted by cause to see what went up and what went down.

It says right in your link that the 2020 numbers are just projections - not the actual data.

Death rate in 2020 did actually jump substantially, and contrary to what the conspiracy theorists want to believe, Covid-19 deaths did not significantly take away from deaths by other causes.

Why belittle the curiosity one has about how the numbers shake out?

From your link:
The provisional number of deaths occurring in the US among US residents in 2020 was 3 358 814, an increase of 503 976 (17.7%) from 2 854 838 in 2019

Where am I belittling curiosity?

The finalized numbers won't be available until later this year, but they are not going to differ greatly from the provisional numbers.

People still clinging to the idea that the Covid 19 death toll is exaggerated or that the dead were already dying of something else are conspiracy theorists. It's not belittling, just a statement of fact.

Let's give the numbers a little while to marinate.

I do believe that the CDC has made a mistake or two, or maybe even embellished some things to make their point.

BTW - Why do you trust CDC numbers, but not UN numbers?

One of the differences (one of many I am sure) between you and I. I have very little trust in big government where you appear to place great trust in big government.

Allot of people believe that when it's your time to go it's your time to go. I'm not really a believer in this but who am I to say it's not the case. The death numbers staying the same definitely support this train of thought.

Read today, that about 1/3 of the US population has contracted covid in the last year and a half. That's a bunch of people,
