I have a first time heifer ready to calve, her bag looks terrible.......!

It is very ample with "ok" teats but looks as if someone "unzipped" it and inserted 2 grapefruits! Big swollen balls! Any ideas?

How close is she to calving? If you can get a feel of the udder is it abnormally hot and hard in the areas that are swollen? If so it may be mastitis. If it feels normal, you may just have a genetically bad udder, some damage to the udder, or she may just not have finished filling it out yet. Lots of choices
