yes she is a milking shorthorn

we use purina cattle chow for our heifers and cows.

There are a lot of good feeds out there. I do use Purina's fitters edge for our show heifers. However, the WAY you feed, how much and what if anything extra depends on the animals current condition. It is best to find someone local that has some feeding experience for the show ring. Have them guide you until you have a good grip on where you need to go with the calf.
