Twisted gut

Have a 4 year old Bull that is fighting pnuemonia.Now the vet says he has a twisted gut.He wants to wait it out for surgery until the lungs r clearer.But do I wait.It has been 5 days since he ate last.Drinks about 5 gallons of water a day,hasn't pooped since Saturday.Had 2 doses of Nuflor,dex and antihistimine.Temp is only 99.Have him in the barn with a blanket to keep him warm.He stands most of the day.I think I should just euthanize him.Does anyone have any advise??

If he isn;t past the pneumonia yet I think your solution is the right one.
