Tuberculosis question

Hi folks, once again I find myself needing some information. I plan on milking one of my cows and using the milk. I called the vet to ask what tests needed to be done - stated that I'd heard that a person could get some kind of disease from drinking raw milk. The vet said that yes, tuberculosis could be contracted from drinking milk. He also stated that it shouldn't be a worry for me because our state (LA) is a tuberculosis free state. Now for my problem - the cow I want to milk was purchased in Arkansas from a farmer. Is Arkansas also considered a tuberculosis free state? Thanks in advance for the info.

Your vet could also answer that question. You also need to make sure the cow was bangs vaccinated.
