We are members. Not much hard dollar benefit but we feel it's worth it because of all the work they do to fight cattle rustling. Your dues help finance the inspectors that make a note of brands and marks at the sale barns and chase down thieves. They also do some lobbying on behalf of the rancher. Plus, the theory goes that if a cattle thief sees your place is posted with a membership sign it will (hopefully) serve as a deterrent and they will keep moving.
