the sycamores around here are disease prone. its amazing how lightning will kill a big pine and shatter a cypress tree only to have the cypress resprout. We have an enormous pine that has just died this year due to beetles finally. we have saved it several times throughout the years. Some limbs at the top broke a while back and i thought then that the beetles might get in it again. my dad and sister (30) and i all together can reach around this tree. dont know how old it is. going tohave a lot of wood out of it.
