<p>We moved from Northern Illinois to central Texas seven years ago. We brought 100 head of cattle with us...but we shipped them in September! It is hard for cattle from the northern states to acclimate to Texas weather when you haul them in the summer. If you've got a barn with misters you may be okay, but you'll still be taking a chance. Be sure the calf has all the required Texas vaccinations when you have it shipped..they are different then S. Dakota
