I have a young friend that hauls cattle for me sometimes. He asked me what he should be charging. He has a load of three going 500 miles. 1000 round trip. He has a Dodge dually with a 20' goose neck. I told him I thought around $1.50 loaded mile, but would post this to see what you guys and gals thought. Diesel at the pump around $2.15 Thanks for any help! :cboy:

I would want more with the price of fuel and trucks. I would say 1.80

I paid my trucker $1.45 a loaded mile, that is a semi load tho.
I would say that is fair if you can find the kid a backhaul.

Thanks guys! Your opinions and experiance will help us to narrow this down. The back haul might be a good idea. I'll see if I might find a board that post stuff. I didn't think about it, but I have a good friend that is a dispatcher I can ask.
