We took a drive over Togwotee Pass today and had lunch at Jackson Lake. They had a pilot car to take everyone over the pass, approximately a mile or so. There was a lot of smoke, and you could see the flames in the up in the trees. Before getting all the way down off the mountain we stopped at a turnoff where usually you can see the Teton's, but this morning you could not see a thing. We stopped at the same place on the way back and you could make out the Teton's through the smoke. There is a lot of fuel in those mountains to burn, a lot of beetle kill trees. It is sure a shame to see all that timber go up in smoke.
