Cheaper market here today, 5wts didn't go over about 2.12$, 4wts as high as 2.30$, most 6wts were in the 1.90s, and small calves under 300lbs were only as high as the 2.60s.

Nice black 3rd period cows were only 1500$ to 1650$ and good crossbred pairs were 1600$ to 1950$. Still high dollar cattle but definitely cheaper.

sold a single black, white faced bull calf this week, 440 pounds and got $2.12. Not bad since he was psycho and needed to go!

Contracted a big string of our Wyoming steers for fall delivery. $190 at 875, 10/1-10/15 delivery, shipping off of 3 separate ranches of ours to 2 yards of the buyers over a couple weeks on one contract. I plan to do the same with the biggest portion of our Wyoming heifers next week.

Sold a big string of our homegrown calves here in CA. Weaned, deliver 2 days next week. Steers 550, $240, heifers 500, $230.

Lampasas Cattle Auction yesterday one black steer calf $310 cwt weighed 320. $992 before commission etc.
