after all this rain last few weeks, i have a desent stand of fescue come back out. still will have te replant some.
we have alot of cg here in the summer when the fescue stops growing.

I actually sew it in a couple of bottoms and double crop between Rye grass and a mix of Red River/Quick-N-Big and have had good results. Depending on moisture and the ever changing dynamics some times I will cut all of the bottom or just half pending how much grazing I need.

The crabgrass that comes up in the permanent pasture I don't cut for hay just graze, but I know a couple of farmers around me that have put up native crabgrass.

Biggest thing I have had trouble with is curing. If you cut it right it has a lot of moisture and even with low humidity and a hot sun it takes 4 days from the time cut to rolled for me. I don't have a conditioner though.
