Now I really don't need another rifle... but I've got an option to get a Tikka 338 win mag, Vertex Viper 6-24x50mm scope, bipod, nice condition... At what price would you say it's too good a deal to pass up?

A 338 with a 6-24 scope???

Just how big do prairie dogs get in Lillooet?

That is a slick looking rifle.
If you truly don't NEED it but would take it for a good price how about $750-$900.
If I am looking at the scope correctly it is worth over $500 new.

Fellow is saying he wants 1200 CDN for it, or right at $900 USD... Depending on how I like the scope vs the one on my 7mm (4-16x50mm Bushnel 3200) I might swap them over

Seems like a decent deal to me as long as you want to spend the money.
I have a Vortex Viper 2.5-10 x 44 and really like it FWIW.

I think I might be able to get it for 1K CAD or 750 USD.. good to hear the review on the scope

I'm thinking I may need a muzzle brake for it or my shoulder isn't going to like it much

I chose the Vortex over a Bushnell, Nikon and Leupold VX-2. They were all relatively close in price.

Your right about the muzzle brake, and I bet you a dollar you end up changing the stock out also. I absolutely despise a thumbhole stock.

I would probably sell it before I changed the stock on it, but a muzzle brake installed on it would probably be a selling feature to nearly anyone. I've never had one with a thumbhole, I'd have to see if I like it or not.
