The lady is a thief and deserves whatever she was called.

How do you know this to be fact? You're assuming this because of what one person has stated. There's always two sides to every story. Maybe she has so much going on in her life that she forgot she had a debt? I'm assuming you do well with your money and have the memory and intelligence level to continue on, but not everyone is so lucky. It's easy to look at the world through a myopic lens, but it often clouds much of the reality.

Maybe she has so much going on she forgot to pay her Bill. And then refused to pay it when confronted...Good grief man :lol: .....
I'm still taking bets.

She took his badge number and now she is charging him with I don't know what....
....because she is black.... I just want your thought.

My thought is everything was handled in a professional and lawful manner.
My 2nd thought is you have a problem with black women.... otherwise you wouldn't have felt the need to mention it.

I gave them in order, 1st and most importantly his grandson appears to be 100% in the right.

It appears she was behaving in an irrational manner and must have caused a real scene for cafeteria workers to feel
the need to call for security. (But that is just idle speculation on my part without knowing all the facts)

Our one grandson is finishing his 2 year degree and then will go on to state trooper training to be an officer this summer. While at college he has a position in campus security. A few days ago he was called to the campus cafeteria as a lady there would not or could not pay for the food on her tray. This same lady has a bill already at the cafeteria. The cafeteteria has the right by law to refuse service to people for cause. When our grandson arrived she refused to be escorted out of the cafeteria. He then took her out of the area by her arm carefully. She took his badge number and now is charging him with I don't know what but because she is black she claims discrimination. So there will be an investigation and already the paper work has started. I just want your thought. thanks farmguy

The original post unedited...farmguy states he doesn't know what the charges are. I took this as criminal charges...assault etc..
And she is claiming discrimination because she is black...

If he had not used the word black...who would have been first to ask "discrimination for what?".......I ponder

The point I was trying to make is that to hold a preconceived notion that she is a thief because of the very, very few details we've been provided is absurd. We have absolutely no idea what is going on here. It's like someone saying that b/c you're from the south you must be a racist hillbilly, or that because I've lived above the Mason Dixon line that I'm bleeding heart. Well, this could very well be true because the south has a history of racism and the north is more "accepting" of others, but I'm not going to label you that until you give me sufficient evidence to do so (please don't think I'm calling you a racist hillbilly, I'm using this as an example). At the least, I would say that this women is an a-hole. That's my best guess as to what is going on here.

Shyyyyt boondoggle I studied on the men's urea thing. So if I don't mean to be a criminal I ain't a criminal. This really opens things up. I mean if I get good and drunk this evening and go barreling through town in my pickup. I'm good....got drunk at home , perfectly legal.

the overly sensitive racial spin put on by people getting all worked up over him saying black......is exactly the political correct mentality that makes his grandsons situation concerning.

I feel for your grandson. That is a tough position to be in. Sounds like he did everything properly based off of what you said. Hopefully he will be cleared of any charges. He was called in to assist with a situation, and did his best to diffuse it in a professional manner. It sounds like the lady has a history there already since she owed them money from before. If she would have left when asked, he would not have been called in and had to escort her out. I was taught to listen to security/law enforcement when they tell me something. I think a lot of people aren't raised up to respect law enforcement like they should be. That's why I try to thank officers I run into for what they do and all the crap they put up with.

Ditto. He might as well get used to it because it won't be the last time it happens I'm sure. Lots of people out there looking for a check.

My BIL is a PO and no doubt the OP grandson will face provocations due to race in his chosen field but I find it a stupid thread to start by the OP. You come on here and give a one sided story in which you have a dog in this fight and ask for opinions. How can any of you form an intellectual opinion or even waste your time with the details given. Only two people know what truly happened and I'm pretty sure this forum will never know the true details.
