Thoughts and Prayers Update

Hello again! Sorry for the delayed update - long story! I certainly appreciate all your input on my behalf. Everything went well with my heart cath. and it showed there is no blockage. Cardiologist says I need to lose weight. I lost 70 lbs when I found out I was diabetic but then found 40 of it again! He has ordered sleep apnea (sp?) tests to see if that can account for the extra heartbeats. Now the long story: While I was being prepped for the cath. procedure, the bottom dropped out of my wife's blood pressure and she passed out in the waiting room at Wash. U's Heart Care Institute. They loaded her and my daughter-in-law in an ambulance and shipped them to Mo. Baptist Hospital because my wife has records on file there. When I was released Friday evening my son and I joined them there. They had her coming around when it happened again Sunday afternoon and she fell and now has cuts on her head, back, and arm. Needless to say, she now is not allowed to get out of bed without a Dr. or nurse present. They thought her kidneys were failing but now think she was dehydrated, causing a reaction to medicine built up in her system. They've had her hooked to IV's to replace fluids and are working on some medication changes. They are going to keep her at least a few more days to be sure. But I am doing great! I am a teacher and also found out this morning that our district's superintendent is in the same hospital and is two rooms down the hall from my wife! I dropped in to check on him a couple times today - what an easy opportunity to pick up brownie points! He said he didn't know what they would be good for but he would certainly throw a ton of them my way! Thanks for all your care and concern on my behalf and I ask the same for my wife - prayer changes things! Thanks again and we hope to be back for good soon! Mike
