Thought Mexico was building the wall

Fake news.... isnt that what its called now?

October 24, 2016

Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump has reiterated his plans to construct a wall on the border between the US and Mexico, in a bid to stop undocumented immigrants. Trump emphasized that, while the wall will be paid for by the US, the costs will then be reimbursed by the government of Mexico

Any number of ways of getting Mexico to "pay" for the wall but the most common method of getting someone else to pick up the tab is to charge a tariff on products made over there and imported to US. You didn't really think Mexico was going to write a check for $100b did you?

Just charge a $1000 for every Mexican that wants to come here. Use the wall to funnel them through the paying gates.

You stop the wire transfers south will have a major impact on their economy.
We currently are Mexicos welfare system along stop anchor baby payment across the border.
Anchor babies cost 2 billion a year

Give the man a chance, he's done more in waiting, than the the other goofball did in 8 years. No assuming either, once a dumocrat always a dumocrat. That's the only problem I have with this dude now.

Every time I hear tariff talk I really cring. Tariffs could really hurt the farming community. We export high quality goods and import junk, anything that depresses this will hurt our bottom line.

Tariff or subsidies is all the same the playing field is not level by any means pick the commodity some country is manipulating the price.

Auto trade with China . This is from 2011

China's commerce ministry accused America's car industry of "dumping and subsidising", thereby causing substantial damage to China's domestic car industry. From Thursday, levies will be charged on larger-engined cars from several manufacturers, some being European firms with factories in the US.

General Motors faces the greatest impact, almost 22% extra on some sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and other cars with engine capacities above 2.5 litres. Chrysler faces a 15% penalty, while a 2% levy will be imposed on BMW, whose US plants make many of the cars it exports to China.

Existing taxes and duties already push up the cost of US imports by 25%, and the new levies make it even more expensive for Chinese consumers to buy American. The move was swiftly attacked in the US. Carl Levin, the Democratic senator for Michigan (which includes the motor city of Detroit), called it an "unjustified" attempt to circumvent international trade laws. "Instead of ending its unlawful trade practices, China is choosing to take further steps that are unauthorised by world trade rules," he claimed."The livelihoods of American families and the integrity of global trade law are at stake."

A wall won't do any good they will tunnel under it and climb over it faster than they can build the dang thing. Put troops down there and anyone crossing will be considered an invading army.

You have to cut off the money then there is no reason to come, because most of the dollars are pumped back home. Assimilation was never the goal in the first place

The wall will be effective. We build walls around our families , our prisons our money you name it. Yes Mexicans will tunnel . but just like a good fence won't keep varmits out it will show you were their coming in.
The biggest problems we have with Mexico are illegal activities. Immigration, drugs, human trafficing. These won't be stifled by any tariff or tax. They will have to be stopped physically.

To quote the birder. We already have the materials, thanks to 63,000,000 liberals shytin bricks since Nov. 8
