Yes, the yearlings were bulls. I guess hay got too expensive for the eccentric old owner.

I'd like to get a couple White Park or Speckled Park, but they get hammered here at the sale barn. We have a lot of dairies and Amish around us, so the buys assume any lineback is a dairy cross.

Can't imagine going to the trouble to go to the feeder association for a loan then spending it on Speckle Park. But that's just me

I'll also add that I'm surprised by the weight of them.
90 cents to $1.15
I am guessing some were 4 or 5 years old.

Only the yearlings were bulls Kenny. The oldest steers were well past over fat. Thinking a couple would have had 4 to 5 inches of rind on them.

Gcreek did they all have feeder association brands on them? It seems odd that if there was loan against them that the owner would have held them that long.

I drive by some going back and forth to work that's close enough for me. I get to look at them without taking the hit. I had a couple of ex 4H heifer Belted Galloway's for ornaments for years but they both passed on to the big pasture in the sky now.
