Schistosomus reflexus (SR) is a rare, fatal congenital defect in animals, primarily observed in cattle, characterized by spinal inversion, exposed abdominal viscera, and abnormal limb positioning. It's a significant cause of dystocia (difficult birth) in cows and other animals. The condition is often associated with genetic factors, though the exact cause remains elusive.

Meet Norman, born a little spastic, he's walking now, sucks the bottle great, hoping to get him still enough to go on a nurse cow tomorrow. His mother slipped through the cracks somehow and only has two quarters left. Kill cows are worth a lot of money and we don't like milking so nurse cow it is.IMG_4729.HEIC.jpeg
