When my truck requires a new thermostat, I always drill a tiny hole in the seat. That pin hole is a life saver in this heat when a thermostat sticks in the future. We don't get all that much cold in the winter here anyway so it is never a problem if the hole is tiny enough. Dad always did this and other folks do it. This week a few folks have told me they never heard of it. Thought I'd pass it along for anyone who lives in a climate similar to mine.
