The Dexter (Irish Dexter) is, I believe, the smallest true "breed" of cattle; many people now are breeding "miniatures" using Dexters and some other breeds; however, the Dexter is *naturally* small, and considered a traditional family cow for milk/beef. They can be black, dun, or red, usually horned, short-leg or long-leg. Cows average about 750#, bulls 1000#.
