Hi Sheri,<br>As was said before she should be old enough to have the calf unless the bull that bred her had a very large head or shoulders. Yes if she isn't too far along you can give a shot to bring them into heat and make them abort. The gestation period is considered in most breeds to be 283 days (give or take a few days). A heifer can go over or under as much as two weeks. I always watch first calf heifers starting about 3 weeks before their normal birth date.<br>Good luck and I hope everything turns out well for you.<br>Darla *.~<p>
