I saw a bit on the news about how much a highway was suppose to cost and after a spider was discovered there's delays and additional cost.

Original cost was like 15 million and be done by now. But project will start soon and cost 45 million. This is only the second spider of this species ever found. The first one was 30 years ago.

Oh, they had to get DNA from the spider to determine if, in fact, it was of this rare species. To get this DNA they had to kill the spider! I think this was around San Antonio.

What's the story from Texas?

A spider was found in a hole, so they shut down the whole project. It probably feel off a truck whose route originated 2000 miles from San Antonio and there are't any more around-----and then------they killed it.

Chrisy would be so happy!!

Maybe they will feed the remainder of the spider carcass to a desert tortoise.
