I started out with 32 Black Angus and a few Herefords then added these big beautiful heifers that are supposedly a three way cross of Angus/Gelbvieh/Hereford and were bred to a Beef Master bull. They are a little bigger framed than the cows I had but I couldn't resist because I'm a sucker for black baldies. Also, they are extremely tame and I can pet everyone of them except one. They had good sized calves too (80-110lbs) although the 110 pounder I had to pull and he died about 48 hours later even though he seemed healthy and was sucking. So I bred them back to a moderate birthweight Black Angus bull. Please let me know what you think of them, and be brutally honest if you don't like them. I am still fairly new to the game.
