Hay fields were full of cows this morning. They broke down a gate, and a mile or two later found a spot with trees over the fence then proceeded home. I was hoping for a few more days, but it is nice to see them home.
The cows came home.

Beautiful cattle. I wouldn't care a bit if they were to find their way to my place! It's a shame they didn't fix the gate and cut the trees up on their way home, though.

I think they are trying to tell you it's time to wean their calves so they can have a little vacation before winter. They look good.

They made their own arrangements. I am always pleased to see mine come home when they come out of my scrub block before calving in fact I have a lot of trouble not opening the gates before the time I want to leave them there.
I am having a lot of trouble with trees and branches coming down on fences at the moment, the ground is so waterlogged there is nothing holding the trees up then it is a nightmare wading through the slop to clear the fence line.
