We will be heading to the central Texas ranch to deer tomorrow morning, I've always enjoyed the thanksgiving hunt, I don't have to take a deer anymore, I just enjoy going.
We had a good meal today, and I have everything I need to cook another one up there.
I wish everyone a happy thanksgiving, and safe travels.

Saw 14 total deer last Saturday, opening day of gun season in Alabama. Also had 4 hen turkeys feed in front of me . Never fired a shot . One of the best opening day hunts in my life !
We took four bucks opening weekend, two culls, one nice eight, and my grandson's big eight he took with a bow, it rough scored 138", it should make pope and young.

Sunday I was at a birthday party for an old neighbor. He turned 90 last week. This year during hunting season he had drawn an antelope tag after 17 years of trying, Got the antelope in August. Shot a buck during deer season the first week in October. And a real nice 5x5 bull elk during elk season in November. Pretty successful season for a man his age.
