Calf is now 14 days old. Giving her sulfa pills every other day. Seem to be doing better. Not sure she has the scours any more. More like soft stools with a hint of blood. She's wanting to eat grass and sweet feed. And drink water. Is it too early for her to eat and drink? Again thanks for the input. Traci

I'm glad to hear the calf is better.

My advice is never, ever restrict water in an animal that is ill, especially ill with scours. The biggest threat is dehydration, and if this calf wants to drink water, let him have it.
