I tell ya sky you couldn't have asked a better guy.
I can't thank ol Texasbred enough for the time and advice he's given me on selecting tubs.
I hope you don't mind if I ask him to take a look at these cubes that just showed up locally. Reminiscent of the old cotton seed cake.

I agree fenceman TB has helped me too. If you don't mind me asking how much are those cubes, and where are they at?

In feed products:

Oh Yes... the disclaimer....a rather quick search and not much time spent searching. Expect a little bias.

Also it took several postings to get all of the ingredients. Can only post 6 url links per post... :(

Now I see why the meth heads use it. They somehow extract some of the acids from it. They also like trace mineral blocks too. I think they get iodine from it.
I buy iodine by the 25 pound bucket, there'd have a fit over that.

They love Iodine crystals too
We used them to burn out abscesses in horses hooves
That and hi grade turpentine

Sky that tub is "junk". Looks like one of those old $30 tubs we used to buy 10 years ago. Too much protein from urea and no real vitamin and mineral fortification to speak. Actually I don't see how they get by without more guraantees on the tag for more of the minerals.

Fenceman that feed you have there should be out of this world. Actually has whole cottonseed in it. Energy should be out the roof and would be a great compliment to low quality hay. A lactating cow should produce a lot of milk being fed that. I may have to make the drive to Lampasas and see Mr. Brown. ;-)

No problem FM .. Thanks AC and TB I am trying to give them the right stuff but since im in the states grain belt I don't have access to some of the I guess good stuff. I guess I will keep searching lol

Just make your own.
Use cottonseed, corn, cottonseed meal soybean meal/hulls. See what is in your area.

If you want to but out something and leave it you can use salt as a limiter. I'll post a new thread with a link to feeds and prices, it's all bulk but it will give you an idea of things to feed and wholesale cost.
We used to feed ground wheat and Milo that we saved. If I ever get a grinder I'll start back just feeding a lot of what we grow. Course now I'm growing corn so I feed a lot of that and cottonseed.
