What does the term "terminal" mean when referring to a bull's genetics? If it means what I think it does, does it matter as much when raising cross bred cattle as it would when breeding prue bred stock/

A terminal sire is a sire whose calves should go to the kill. If you are raising cross bred cattle and plan to keep some back for replacements
you would not want to use a terminal sire. In this case you would want
a sire with good maternal traits. ie; milk EPD, birth wt EPD, ww EPD.
